Requirements and notes

  • A university degree from a recognised institution with a strong academic record in a relevant field and basic programming skills (Java or Python preferred)
  • Tracks: Engineering and Computer Science, Speech and Language Technology, Big Data Analytics (some tracks restrict the prior degree)
  • The programme page asks for a GRE unless you are exempt (for example with a degree from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland): confirm
  • Application fee of about EUR 90 per application
  • Non-EEA deadline: KU Leuven's general rule is 1 March (it was 1 March 2026 for 2026-27): check the application window for 2027
